The Federal Communications Commission issued a license to White Springs Media for delivery of unlimited channels of audio, video and data from its Teleport (Satellite Earth Station) in White Springs, Florida.
White Springs Media, in cooperation with it's TalkStar Radio Network™ , has developed a 24x7 Health Talk Network which is transmitted from company owned Satellite Uplink facilities in Florida. Our satellite signal reaches all of the USA, Canada, Mexico and much of Central America. Our audio streaming has World Wide coverage via the internet. The decision to launch this Network was based on the growing interest in health issues, both in main stream medicine and alternative approaches to wellness and healing.
Our Directive
The goal of HealthStar Radio Network is to promote enlightened debate and public discussion of health issues which are the growing concern of Americans of all ages. To paraphrase FDR: "The greatest thing we have to fear is ... ignorance". Our directive is to provide the listener with data upon which they can base informed decisions concerning their own health.
There has been an explosion of medical information with which the average person has had difficulty keeping up. What claims are to be believed and which are to be rejected? How open should we be to claims about alternative medicines? What is true about claims made for "folk remedies"? Who is really looking out for the public?
Like it or not, Talk Radio, over the past dozen years, resulted in a grass roots revolution that has changed the American political scene. For the first time, the voices of "Joe and Jill" citizen of mid America carried as much weight as supposed big shots in the largest cities. Free and open discussion of health issues is bring about a Health Revolution! We believe that HealthStar Radio Network will bring about this revolution, because listeners are able to call in to get the perspective of qualified hosts and moderators who are also experts in their medical disciplines. Our listeners will hear first person accounts from real people who will share their most personal health related experiences.
In addition to a discussion of health and wellness issues, HealthStar® Radio Network will provide a platform for debating the politics and morality of medicine.
The Network will also present programs on exercise, personal sports and fitness.
Compensation for Station Affiliates
In addition to traditional barter arrangements for affiliates to be able to offer local advertisers opportunities for their messages to be aired during our attention getting programming, the local affiliates will receive an over-ride based on tracking sales of various subscriptions, products and services in the zip codes within the station's listening area.
Joint Ventures Sought
Because there is strength in numbers and because cross-promotion can benefit all concerned, we are seeking to establish Strategic Alliances or Joint Ventures with widely distributed Health Publications, Health Television Channels, as well as other media.

About White Springs, Florida
Programming will come from various venues all over the world, but the Network will be operated out of the town of White Springs, Florida which is not only the site of this powerful satellite uplink but also an inspiration for the project by virtue of it's rich history as a spa and source of wellness and tranquility. White Springs is on the banks of the Suwannee River three miles east of I-75 (Exit 439) on State Road 136 or 4 miles north of I-10 (Exit 301) in North Central Florida. The town lends itself perfectly as a venue for wellness seminars and health oriented retreats and vacations.
